About
koja means “where,” a farsi word that speaks to the idea of place and belonging. koja cafe draws from persian roots and global influences to create a space that feels grounded, welcoming, and familiar.
Our menu blends comfort with thoughtful flavors inspired by cities and cultures around the world. whether you are here for a quick stop or a longer stay, koja is the place to be.
this is a place to pause, connect, and reset. you do not need a destination to be here. just come as you are.
koja cafe. find your where.

Our
Founder
koja cafe was founded by Tara Mojtahedzadeh, a recent graduate of the University of Southern California. while her academic path was not rooted in hospitality, her passion always was. long before opening a cafe, Tara knew that creating spaces for people to gather, connect, and feel welcome was where her heart would ultimately lead her.
inspired by her persian roots and a lifelong appreciation for food, coffee, and community, Tara decided to take a leap and turn that instinct into something real. koja cafe is the result of that risk. it is a place built with intention, shaped by culture, and driven by the belief that hospitality is about service, warmth, and bringing people together.
at its core, koja exists to serve its community. it is a reflection of Tara’s commitment to creating a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and at home.
